What Are Community Events?

Community events on Starcrew.link are organized play sessions created by players, for players. Whether it's a coordinated mining operation in the Aaron Halo belt, a fleet combat exercise, or a casual social meetup at Area18, events bring the community together for shared experiences.

Think of events as a step beyond LFG posts — they're planned ahead of time with a set date, description, and RSVP system so everyone knows what to expect.

How to Browse and Join Events

Visit the Events page to see upcoming community events. You can:

  • Browse the calendar — switch between calendar and list view to find events
  • Filter by type — narrow results to Mining, Combat, Trading, Exploration, Social, or Org Events
  • Filter by region — find events in your timezone (US, EU, AU, APAC)
  • RSVP — let the organizer know if you plan to attend

RSVP System

Each event has a built-in RSVP system with three options:

  • Yes — you plan to attend
  • Maybe — you're interested but not sure yet
  • No — you won't make it this time

RSVP counts update in real time, so organizers can see how many players to expect. You can change your RSVP at any time before the event starts.

Creating Your Own Event

Any verified player can organize a community event. Here's what you'll need to provide:

  1. Title — a clear name for the event (e.g., "Quantanium Mining Op — EU Evening")
  2. Description — what you're planning, what participants should bring, and any requirements
  3. Date and time — when the event will take place
  4. Event type — Mining, Combat, Trading, Exploration, Social, Org Event, or Other
  5. Region — helps players find events in their timezone

Event Types

  • Mining — group mining sessions, quantanium runs, refinery logistics
  • Combat — PvP tournaments, bounty hunting groups, capital ship operations
  • Trading — cargo convoy runs, trade route exploration
  • Exploration — Pyro expeditions, jump point scouting, unknown space exploration
  • Social — meetups, ship shows, bar crawls around the verse
  • Org Event — organization-specific activities open to the wider community

Tips for Great Events

  1. Give advance notice — post your event at least a day or two before it happens so players can plan
  2. Be specific about timing — include the timezone and expected duration
  3. Set clear expectations — mention if experience is required or if newcomers are welcome
  4. Update status — mark your event as in-progress when it starts and completed when it's done
