Star Citizen Community Rankings & Reputation Guide

What Are Community Rankings?

The Community Rankings leaderboard showcases the most trusted and active members of the Starcrew.link community. Rankings are driven by peer reviews — real feedback from players you've interacted with through ship lending, LFG missions, and giveaways.

Think of your ranking as your community reputation score. The more positive interactions you have, the higher you climb.

How the Rating System Works

After completing an activity with another player, either of you can leave a star rating on the other's public profile. Ratings are based on a 5-star scale and reflect the quality of the interaction.

Your overall rating is the average of all reviews you've received. Here's what each score generally means:

  • 5 stars — outstanding experience, excellent communication and reliability
  • 4 stars — great experience, everything went smoothly
  • 3 stars — average experience, met expectations
  • 2 stars — below expectations, some issues
  • 1 star — poor experience, significant problems

What Counts Toward Your Reputation

Ratings can come from several types of community interactions:

  • Ship lending — lenders and borrowers can rate each other after a lending session
  • LFG sessions — crew members can rate each other after playing together
  • Giveaways — participants and organizers can exchange reviews
  • General interaction — any meaningful community interaction can lead to a review

The Leaderboard

The rankings page displays the top community members ordered by rating. To appear on the leaderboard, you need a minimum of 3 ratings from other players.

The top 3 players receive special recognition:

  • 1st place — gold badge
  • 2nd place — silver badge
  • 3rd place — bronze badge

Each entry on the leaderboard links to the player's public profile where you can see their ships, game loops, and review history.

Public Profiles

Every verified player has a public citizen profile at /citizen/your-handle. Your profile displays:

  • Your display name and avatar
  • RSI verification status
  • Your ships and preferred game loops
  • Organization membership
  • Your rating and review history

Other players can visit your profile to leave a rating, send you a message, or add you as a friend.

Tips for Building Your Reputation

  1. Be reliable — show up when you say you will and follow through on commitments
  2. Communicate clearly — set expectations before sessions and stay in touch
  3. Be a good sport — whether lending ships or crewing missions, respect goes a long way
  4. Stay active — the more you participate, the more opportunities for positive reviews
  5. Leave reviews too — the system works best when everyone provides honest feedback

Ready to Climb the Rankings?

Start by creating your account and verifying your RSI handle. Then jump into LFG sessions, lend or borrow ships, and participate in giveaways. Every positive interaction is a step up the leaderboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my community rating calculated?
Your rating is based on reviews from other players after interactions like ship lending sessions, LFG group activities, and giveaway participation. Each review includes a star rating that contributes to your overall score.
How many ratings do I need to appear on the leaderboard?
You need at least 3 ratings from other community members to appear on the public rankings leaderboard. This minimum ensures that rankings reflect consistent community feedback rather than a single review.
Can I rate other players?
Yes. After completing an activity with another player — such as a ship lending session or LFG group mission — you can leave a star rating and optional review on their public profile. Honest, constructive feedback helps the whole community.
What do the gold, silver, and bronze badges mean?
The top 3 players on the leaderboard receive special badges: gold for first place, silver for second, and bronze for third. These are displayed next to their name on the rankings page and their public profile.
Can I see reviews left about me?
Yes. Your rating history and individual reviews are visible on your public citizen profile page. You can view your overall score, the number of reviews you've received, and individual feedback from community members.
